Basketball Tournament

I know I said check my blog in 2 weeks in the last article (which was about 5 or 6 days ago), but I forgot we had a basketball tournament. The name of my basketball club is 'Beans' (no jokes about the name please). Origionally, we had 3 teams in the tournament (1-girls, 2-guys). We all won in the first round, so every team continue to the next round. The next day, the girls team and the upper-classman team (those with the older members on it, mostly graduate students) won. So now, their is another game for us on Monday. I kind of hurt my toe in the last game, but I think they would have won even if I didn't play. The first game was very close. At first I thought we were going to loose, because at one time were down by more than 15 points, but thanks to Kashiwagi-san, we were able to make a come-back. We won the first game by one point because of a technical foul on the other teams part. The force must have been with us. The second game wasn't really close. The other team had the lead until somewhere in the second quarter, that was it. I think we won that game by 15 points. The rules in Japanese basketball are slightly different from that of American basketball. The way of blocking ones apponent here is illegal in American basketball. Also, there were a few times I got all ball when they were passing my man the ball (and I came around from behind him and swatted the ball away) and they still called a foul on me. I will have to be careful of that the next game. Also, during free throws, you don't have to wait until the ball hits the rim to move. You can move right after the ball is released. Nothing really special to report about today. No pictures either. I have to start looking for a apartment soon. Maybe I will start this weekend. I think I want to move to Ueda (they have Dr. Pepper, batting cages and as I found out the other day a very large gym there). It's not that far from the University either. I was told it is a quite place by a friend of mine that lives there. Well, that is all for today. And, here is the quote of the day:
And by who other than the great Dr. A.E.:
"The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science."
Well, Adios y vio con dios.
Later ya'll.

BEUNOS DIOS ala TEJAS!!!!!!!! Left ya a message on your last article. Find a home yet? I, along with your entire family ,i'm sure, would have loved to see you in your drunken stupor.Hurts doesn't it? Anyway, not much here, just a bit toasty outside at 104, and i'm not talkin kelvin. I learned about kelvin this year in my chem. class. The first day the instructor asked "What is matter ?" and i responded " I don't know, what's a matter for you ?" (put an italian accent with it.) Hey, why are all the pictures of your trips always in the mountains ? Not that i'm complaining, heck, i wish i were there,(minus the huge crowds you mentioned). Hey, reckon i would stick out if i came over and was wearing my cowboy hat in that crowd? By the way, a solution if you ever get seperated from your group again. Just shimmy up a pole. Not only will you have a great view, but you will most assuredly command the attention of all around.Just make sure your friends get to you before the cops do. Well, whith that survival skill being passed on, i must go. Not really, it's my day off, but i'm not gonna spend it in front of a computer.Wazamattafuyou? Thats funny i don't care who you are! Later doooooood.

Peace,Love and Joy be with you.(60's)
